Bonaire is a paradise island, surrounded by a protected maritime park of 2700 hectares, a haven of peace and serenity for all nature lovers. Bonaire is an island part of the group of "Leeward Islands", in the small Netherlands Antilles (Other islands: Aruba, Curacao, Saba, Saint Eustache, and the southern part of the island of St Martin), located at 80km off Venezuela. Archipelago located in the Caribbean Sea, the island of Bonaire is surrounded by a magnificent coral reef, which is famous throughout the world of scuba diving (many sites on Bonaire have easy entry and exit for shore diving that’s why Bonaire is an Diver's Paradise"). All the waters surrounding the island is classified marine sanctuary and allows a discovery of the fauna and the flora underwater as well with a mask and a snorkel (snorkeling), or with scuba diving. 

The undeniable advantage is the ease of access of most of the 80 dive sites directly from the beach! Then just palms a few tens of meters to immerse yourself on the drop offs that reveal the beauty of the seabed.


Right in front of Bonaire is the island of Klein Bonaire (10 minutes by boat), uninhabited island of 6 km and surrounded by a strip of white sand. The underwater world is wonderful and always close to the edge of the island. On Klein, the turtles "Hawksbill" and "Loggerhead" come to lay their eggs on the beach, enjoying the tranquility of the place and it is therefore common to meet them under water!


Bonaire is certainly the ideal diving destination for underwater photography, visibility being between 30m to 55m. With an average temperature of 28/30 ° C and water at 27 ° C ... the isothermal equipment of the divers is limited to the strict minimum.


As anchorage is prohibited, the grounds are preserved and offer a variety of impressive underwater life. The coral reefs (120 kinds of corals) start just six meters from the shore and skim the surface. Corals offer a unique sight in the eyes of neophytes, a real "fireworks" of colors to which is added the swarming of the underwater fauna.

The fauna is very rich with more than 350 species of tropical fish. Divers will revel in frequent encounters with parrot fish, lizard fish, toad chicks, angel fish, butterfly fish, moray eels, lion and scorpion fish, octopus, seahorses, sergeant major ... and more often nurse sharks, whale sharks, rays ... Depending on the season, it is also possible to cross whales and dolphins.


To participate in the protection and maintenance of the underwater park, each diver must pay a fee of 25 US Dollars, with you dive tag you get also free access to the Washington Slagbaai National Park.


The main activities on Bonaire are related to the aquatic world. In addition to scuba diving on Bonaire, you can practice wind surfing on Bonaire, kite surfing on Bonaire, sea kayaking on Bonaire and of course snorkeling in the mangrove on Bonaire. The island is also known for its colonies of flamingos (more than twenty thousand!) And wild donkeys that find refuge in the Washington State National Park Slagbaai in the north of the island. This is where the highlight of Brandaris is located. Hikers will fall in love with the 560 km of discovery trails, mostly dirt roads (practiced by goats ...), it is also possible to explore by bicycle.
